Weather Radio Event

Over 20 volunteers from SKYWARN, CERT, and
Amateur Radio donated their time on Saturday, 08-Mar. The purpose of the event was to build awareness of NOAA All Hazard Alert Radios and to provide assistance to the general public for properly programming the radios. Deuel NSØL worked with the Owatonna HY-Vee store to make the radios available at a discounted price. Over 150 radios were sold during the event. Several people purchased more than one unit for gifts to others.
The event table included information on each of the volunteer groups. The National Weather Service also provided information on Severe Storms and flooding.
Many thanks to all of the volunteers and the Owatonna HY-Vee store for a successful event.
